The Global Monetization Integrity team is responsible for ensuring that all monetized content on TikTok is safe, ethical and high quality through creation of innovative, scalable solutions designed to ensure TikTok users and businesses are protected.

MI is composed of Policy, Operations, Risk, and Data specialists working cross-functionally with key stakeholders (Legal, GR, PR, Engineering, Product, Sales, etc) to design and optimize advertising policies, manage moderation processes and iterate risk controls and systems driving efficiencies. The MI Political and Regulatory Risk Pod serves these teams by addressing key political and regulatory risk concerns at a platform, product, process and policy level. Identifying risks along these four key pillars, we will seek to provide insights, increase efficiency, improve risk governance, and expand co-governance collaboration in collaboration with key RDI stakeholders and with XFNs. Risk managers within this pod will support this mission by providing subject matter expertise and project management leadership in order to to plan and reactively respond to emergent political risks posing a risk to TikTok's business at a regional and global level.

Responsibilities

  • Own global strategies for risk control across policy, process, and platform risks
  • Work hand in hand with other pod members to provide global subject matter expertise across the various political and regulatory risk workstreams
  • Collaborate with local and global operations teams to improve and maintain feedback loops to ensure efficient end-to-end policy design and implementation
  • Build processes and structures to increase efficiency and scalability of risk controls in the political and regulatory space.
  • Represent RDI in broad, TikTok-wide settings with stakeholders in Legal, Trust and Safety, GR, PR, and Audit . Log and report on risks, actions, blockers, and decisions
  • Provide consultation to Integrity leadership on related subjects,including regulatory risk trends, political risk control gaps, and emergent threats
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; Master's degree preferred
  • 3+ years in digital advertising policymaking, risk prevention and identification, or analysis. Previous experience with crisis management and highly pressure environments
  • Experience in crisis management
  • Extensive direct project management or related work experience and an aptitude for managing & analyzing data
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management experience; senior leadership and multi-functional preferred
  • Experience managing large scale global projects and follow-through on the entire project lifecycle
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate, foster relationships and work cross-functionally, especially with diverse global teams in numerous time zones
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and identify trade-offs
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $93600 - $160000 annually.



Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
